Christopher Webster [Celluloid 11.05.14] post apocalyptic zombies horror action thriller adventure

Russia's first zombie movie, Winter of the Dead, has been teasing us with images of axe-wielding priests and nail-gun-totting blonds on roller-blades for a long time. But the wait is over!

The film is finally rolling out on multiple platforms, the first of which is Vimeo where you can rent or buy at a great price (includes English Subtitles)

Synopsis:
It was the hottest Russian summer on record until a freak snowstorm brakes the heat and heralds the arrival of an army of the undead hell bent on destroying a sleepy Russian town and ruining the day of intrepid Moscow reporter, Kosta. Now all he has to do is get the girl, stop from being shot by her father and stay away of the sharp end of the mad Russian Orthodox Priest’s axe while still making his deadline!

The action adventure film is directed and co-written by Nikolai Pigarev and Mikhail Borzenkov, and executive produced by Resolution's Pete Ford alongside one-time Warner Bros. International President, Wayne Duband.
