Listen up, horror fans! Now that Marcus Nispel got his version of R-rated fantasy out of his system (read: Conan the Barbarian and Pathfinder), he's heading back to the horror genre with Backmask, a rock n' roll themed gore fest that hinges on the hoary old yarn about playing records backwards to reveal hidden messages.

While we don't have much on the project, AITH tracked down the film's opening title sequence designed by a company called Baird Design. To give you even more of a sense of what the film has in store, we've also added a stills gallery for the film.

“During a sex, drugs, and rock-fueled party, six small-town teenagers find an old vintage record and decide to play it backwards in order to listen for any subliminal/satanic messages. Lo and behold, a seemingly malevolent spirit quickly infiltrates the group, wreaking havoc as it moves from one body to another. Eventually, however, it’s revealed that the spirit in question is actually trying to convey a message….and that the real source of horror isn’t particularly paranormal, but rather something (or someone) much closer to home."

Keep in mind, the video below is crude and will likely be cleaned up in post production prior to the film's release. It's also a little NSFW.
