This wonderful illustration of Charlie Brown as a desert avenger in the apocalypse is from Max Dunbar, an artist who's worked on comics like Red Sonja. You can find more of his work on his official site.

What happened to the world of the peanuts? Economic upheaval? Zombie apocalypse? Did the Great Pumpkin finally take his revenge on the world? This evocative image doesn't make it clear. What we do know is that our boy Charlie has become something of a survivor. At least he's still got Snoopy by his side.

I'm glad Charlie has grown up and Snoopy is at his side.
If they survived there's hope for us.
