We've already caught a peek of what to expect from Guillermo del Toro's haunted house horror Crimson Peak. Heck, we even know how much Stephen King loved it, comparing the feeling of seeing it to the first time he saw Evil Dead. That's high praise from King and from the looks of the trailers, including this newly minted one, del Toro may well have nailed it.

Crimson Peak stars Tom Hiddleston and Jessica Chastain as siblings who share titular house, an old family home that not only appears to be haunted by malevolent ghosts but which harbours secrets which Hiddleston's new wife, played by Mia Wasikowska, begins to uncover.

It's grand. It's gothic. It has the same lovely aesthetic of Bram Stoker's Dracula - shadowy corners, big hair, bigger flowing gowns – but with apparently far more blood than Francis Ford Coppola's vampire movie. In one word: glorious.

Crimson Peak opens October 16.
