quietearth [Celluloid 05.05.15] Norway post apocalyptic scifi

Pro-tip for anyone looking to capture some stunning, primordial settings for your next film. Go to Norway. The debut feature from Norway's Anders Elsrud Hultgreen has been getting some attention recently, no doubt for its Tarkovsky-esque vision of a bleak post-apocalyptic world.

In January, Dawn (aka. Morgenrøde), won best sci-fi feature film at Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival and on May 30th it will have its UK-premiere at SCI-FI-LONDON Film Festival.

Syonpsis:
At the beginning of a new aeon is a water polluted world years after a global fall. Where the legacy of what was, has been quenched and world understanding must take shape again. Surrounded by an endless hazy and drab, bleak desert we follow two survivors who eye each other with the same mutual depraved suspicion as they contemplate their inhospitable surroundings.

We hope to have a review for you guys around the time of the UK premier, so watch for that.

Recommended Release: Solaris (Criterion Collection)
