John Connor [Celluloid 08.20.15] Italy horror slasher giallo grindhouse

Fans of the Italian Giallo from the 1970's will gush over this stylish trailer for Francesca, the new film from Luciano Onetti and Nicolás Onetti (Sonno Profondo aka. Deep Sleep). To celebrate the film’s world premiere at the upcoming Sitges Film Festival in October, the filmmakers have unleashed the first official trailer for the film.

Shades of Argento and Goblin are all over this trailer which will make die hard Giallo fans happy. For those not so familiar with that tradition of European horror, Francesca may be a tad alienating.

Francesca seems to have returned, but she is not be the same girl who everyone knew...

As the film is only just hitting the festival circuit, there's no release date yet. We'll keep you posted!
