I have a real sore spot for home video releases that double dip but when you offer up a package that has this much good stuff, it's unlikely fans will complain and far more likely that they'll rejoice at the amount of awesome that will be unleashed upon their eyeballs.


Scream Factory is continuing their trend of great releases with a ridiculous three disc release of Sam Raimi's classic horror comedy Army of Darkness. So what can you expect to see on this release? How about everything including the kitchen sink?


In addition to the theatrical release in glorious HD, there's also the Director's cut, the International cut (with a bonus 4K transfer), a load of new, never-before-seen behind the scenes video, new images, a new making-of and a boatload of other goodies. Check it out:

The folks at Blu-Ray.com reached out to Scream Factory with a couple of key questions. As it turns out, the US Theatrical Version included on the disk is not a new transfer though it has been color corrected. As to why the International version is in newly restored 4K but the Director's cut isn't... "we could not find all of the additional footage (film and audio) for the 96 minute Director's Cut."

This must have release is available October 27.
