John Connor [Celluloid 10.27.15] post apocalyptic scifi thriller adventure

When I was a kid we used to say you know you made it if Weird Al writes a parody song based on your work, in the film world the analogous seems to be whether The Asylum rips on your movie for a quick VOD profit. In the case of Martian Land, it must mean The Martian with Matt Damon was a hit.

Of course, we love to rip on The Asylum for shit like this and Sharknado, but they have done some decent stuff like bring us the gloriously loony Z Nation on SyFy and Road Wars.

Synopsis:
In the distant future, mankind lives on Mars, in cities that resemble those once found on Earth, protected from the alien atmosphere by dome-like force-fields. When a massive sandstorm breaks through the dome and destroys Mars New York, those in Mars Los Angeles must figure out how to stop the storm before it wipes them out next.

The film stars Alan Pietruszewski (ZERO DARK THIRTY), Lane Townsend (AGE OF TOMORROW), Jennifer Dorogi (DAYS OF OUR LIVES), Arianna Afsar, Chloe Farnworth.

Long live The Asylum!
