Christopher Webster [Celluloid 11.23.15] scifi horror thriller

While Chronicles of Riddick had flashes of old fashioned space opera goodness, it was mostly a misstep in a series with two other pretty amazing entries in Pitch Black and Riddick. And even though the last film didn't exactly light the world on fire at the box office, it appears there's a lot more Furian story to tell.

A couple of days ago, Vin Diesel took to Instagram to announce plans for a television show called Merc City and new movie called Furia.

"Last night Our company had a party to launch Our TV division. Very exciting. MERC CITY is a show that will follow the Mercs and Bounty Hunters of the Riddick Universe. Next Month, DT begins writing the next Chapter in the Chronicles of Riddick... FURIA."

Obviously it's early days and these projects will likely be in development for a few years. But, who's in for more Riddick?

Recommended Release: Riddick (The Complete Collection)

Riddick a good movie? You must have slept through it and only caught the ending. It did nothing to develop the character and/or advance the story arch started in CoR. The last scene is were the movie should have started. Riddick was a waste of time and money that could have been better used in a proper sequel like the one we will finally be getting with CoR: Furia.
