John Connor [Celluloid 02.29.16] United Kingdom cyberpunk scifi horror action thriller

Ignore the sub-par acting here and Kill Command really looks like it could be a sci-fi/horror winner. An action thriller set in a near future, it shows a technology-reliant society that pits man against killing machines.

The film is the feature debut of Steven Gomez. Gomez also wrote the film, produced by Vertigo Films.

An elite army unit is helicoptered to a remote, off-the-grid island training facility. What starts out as a simple training exercise for Captain Bukes and his tight-knit unit, descends into a terrifying battle to the death, as the marines discover the island is overrun by an enemy that transcends the human concept of evil.

The film comes out May 13 in the UK.
