Director Andrew Niccol (Gattaca, In Time) has cast Amanda Seyfried to star in his next science fiction thriller, Anon, opposite Clive Owen. Niccol worked with Seyfried previously for the time-is-currency thriller, In Time.

The story of the film centers on a world where there is no privacy and crime is virtually non existent. So, like Minority Report meets Prism? Okay, we're in.

Synopsis:
In the psychological thriller, Anon, Clive Owen plays a detective in a world with no privacy, ignorance or anonymity. All our lives are transparent, traceable and recorded by the authorities. It’s the end of crime, it seems. However, when Owen’s character stumbles on a young woman (Seyfried) with no digital footprint and invisible to the police, he discovers it may not be the end of crime but the beginning.

Anon is produced by Oliver Simon and Daniel Baur at K5 Film. Niccol also produces. K5 Media Group is financing. CAA, which arranged the financing, will rep the film’s domestic rights.

More as it comes, folks!
