John Connor [DVD News 10.11.17] scifi horror action thriller adventure

A few interesting titles are hitting shelves this week, including Edgar Wright's biggest hit to date, the quasi musical crime thriller, Baby Driver. Full of deep cuts, mind-blowing choreography and the best role for John Hamm since Mad Men, Baby Driver is a must see from this year whether it ended up satisfying your particular tastes or not.

Wright was hugely influence by The Driver and the films of Walter Hill when making the film.

Onwards we have a few more equally enticing flicks out this week. Let's get to them.

Sofia Coppola's latest was a hit with critics, garnering her a best director win at Cannes. The Beguiled is an adaptation of the novel by Thomas Cullinan.

Don Seigel also directed an adaptation with Clint Eastwood in 1971.

The Poughkeepsie Tapes is something of a legend in the horror community as it is a great found footage film, very scary, but was never released... until now.

Scream Factory have put out this blu-ray finally and fans are all over it as the film has finally seen the light of day. This is one I can't wait ti check out finally.

The Criterion Collection releases this truly one of a kind horror musical that has to be seen to believe. The Lure is pure punk rock awesomeness.
