The Russo Brothers are commanding the entertainment news today and it's not because of their involvement with another Marvel movie. In addition to word that they will be producing Evan Glodell's next movie Canary the brothers, through their company AGBO, have teamed up with Neon to purchase distribution rights to Assassination Nation.

The thriller, written and directed by actor-writer-director Sam Levinson, stars an all-star cast of rising female talent including Odessa Young, Suki Waterhouse, Hari Nef and Bella Thorne as a group of teenagers on the hunt, with weapons ranging from guns to baseball bats, for a hacker who has been circulating compromising photos and texts.

In addition to the ladies, the movie also stars Joel McHale and Bill Skarsgard.

Levinson's movie is certainly timely in the current cultural and political climate but is it getting attention because of the timeliness of it or because it's actually good?

Judging from the first teaser, it looks like it could be a bit of both; the trailer offers up some stirring imagery and cinematography from Marcell Rev (White God).

Hopefully we'll have more on the release plans in the coming weeks.
