John Connor [Celluloid 01.19.18] scifi horror action thriller mystery adventure

The next film in the unconnected Cloverfield cinematic universe is due out April 20, 2018. Originally titled God Particle the film will likely receive a new name since it was earmarked by J.J. Abrams to enter the Cloververse.

While we haven't seen any footage or images from the mysterious sci-fi film, the viral marketing has officially begun with the appearance of an update to the Tagruato website that includes the following cryptic message:

"Tokyo – January 18 2018: Tagruato has begun development on a revolutionary new energy technology in what Ceo Garo Yoshida called a technological great leap forward for our planet. This renewable technology will take at least 4 years to complete along with another six years International regulatory bodies to bring the powerful revolutionary energy source by April 18 2028"

The following plot description has been making the rounds about the third film in the series, "Astronauts must fight for their lives after making a terrifying discovery in outer space," but there is also a long synopsis that was leaked. I haven't read it because I don't want to be spoiled but you can find that long God Particle synopsis here.

The third Cloverfield film stars Daniel Brühl, Elizabeth Debicki, Aksel Hennie, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Chris O’Dowd, John Ortiz, David Oyelowo and Zhang Ziyi.
