Christopher Webster [Celluloid 07.17.18] Republic of Korea post apocalyptic apocalyptic anime scifi action dystopic

Jee-Woon Kim, the Korean director of I Saw the Devil, and The Good the Bad and the Weird has a new live-action of adaptation of of Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade.

A couple months ago we premiered a couple posters for the film. Since then, the film has come out in South Korea and we have a teaser trailer AND news that Netflix has picked up most of the worldwide rights.

Set in the distant future where both North and South Koreas agree to establish a joint government, which has been in preparation for a duration of 7 years, the plot focuses on political uprisings on opposing sides which grow fierce when a special police unit is formed to stop the chaos.

I'll give this a shot, but I really wish they hadn't changed the back-story; it's pointless.
