Marina Antunes [Cathode Ray Mission 02.27.19] scifi drama

I clearly remember being completely engrossed by "The OA," Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij's mind-bending sci-fi drama with a bizarre interpretive dance element, but I'll be damned if I can remember how season one (or "Part 1") ended. Good thing the show is still streaming because come next month, Netflix will be presenting "The OA Part 2."

Brit Marling along with a few other cast members from Part 1, will reprise their roles but this is a largely new adventure which begins with Marling's Prairie Johnson waking up in an alternate universe where she tries to piece together the how and why with a couple of new friends, namely Karim Washington (Kingsley Ben-Adir).

This trailer is just as intriguing and mysterious as the original trailer for Part 1 and thought we sort of know what's going on in this universe, the draw here is the drama which propelled most of Part I without providing any answers. Hopefully, Part 2 will provide some answers.

If the appearance of "The OA Part 2" is as much of a surprise to you as it is to me, then you're in luck because you have time to get reacquainted with the series. "The OA Part 2" will be available on Netflix March 22.
