Marina Antunes [Celluloid 11.19.20] Canada horror thriller

Camille Sullivan stars with Devon Sawa, and Nick Stahl in Hunter Hunter, the new film from writer/director Shawn Linden.

Anne and Joseph (Sullivan and Sawa) are living in the remote wilderness with their daughter Renee (Summer H. Howell), making their living and surviving as fur trappers. That quiet existence is broken when the family think they're being hunted by a rogue wolf, sending Joseph on a tracking mission. Enter Lou (Stahl), who randomly shows up and enters the family's life unannounced which begs a couple of questions: is he the killer? Is he the wolf?

We'll have to wait to find out for sure but it certainly seems that there's a twist coming at some point in this story.

I'm a big fan of Sullivan's and am always happy to see her in a film and Stahl is equally appealing, especially here where he's clearly not one of the good guys and while the final line in the trailer is a bit of an eye roll thankfully, everything that comes before it suggests that Hunter Hunter will definitely be worth a look.

Hunter Hunter will be available in select theatres as well as on digital and on-demand on December 18.
