A new adaptation of Stephen King's Firestarter novel is coming to theaters and Peacock on May 13. The film was director Keith Thomas (The Vigil) and we've learned that the new score is composed by none other than John Carpenter, legendary director of Halloween, The Thing and Escape from NY.

Firestarter: The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is currently up for pre-order and you can listen to a track from it below, which is quintessential Carpenter.

We have also included Keith Thomas' debut short film below as part of our Famous First Films series. Be sure to subscribe to that channel on YouTube for more uploads.
