The working title of Tomomatsu's latest movie project is "Rape Zombie 2" ("Reipu zonbi 2").

BTW, it turns out that my reading of the last word in the title of Iguchi's aforementioned movie in the Kaidan Shin Mimibukuro series was correct, and that of a number of Japanese websites (e.g., the Yubari Fanta one, Japanese Wikipedia, and the since-revised Japanese Horror Movies Database) was incorrect; the word in question is "igyô", not "ikei". The official website for Kaidan Shin Mimibukuro: igyô is now online, although at present it's just a home page.

Zombie movies are my favorite some of them are zombie land, zombie stripper and dawn of dead and the best one resident evil. No one can beat the thrill and action of zombie movies, I have seen action flick but dead man movies always thrilled me. Never had a chance to watch a Japanese zombie movie but would love to watch them too. What is your favorite zombie movie?

Zomvideo is scheduled to be screened at Monster Fest in Melbourne, Australia on November 4th.

Here's a description of Zomvideo from Monster Fest: "Tired of zombies? We feel you, and that is why ZOMVIDEO is a uniquely hilarious dummies guide to zombies, a step-by-step instructional manual about how to deal with the denizens of the dead! This comedy-horror-satire aint' your average zombie story! Some fledgling editors working in a dead-end sleazy video company find a mystical VHS that is uncannily related to each undead encounter they face in the wake of a sudden zombie apocalypse in Tokyo city! ¶ The increasing denizens of the dead are led by two very enigmatic and deranged half-zombie women (played by J-Pop stars C-ute) who have a bizarre relationship and the strange ability to control the zombies every move. Playing direct from Yubari Film Festival Japan, this is one very charming, brand new and hilarious gem that is equal parts Shaun of the dead, Battle Royale and Videodrome! ZOMVIDEO brilliantly plays with the tropes and conventions of zombies and turns them into something you have never seen before and is easily the smartest horror-comedy to ever come out of Asia."

I wrote back on March 22nd:
The screenplay for Rain for the Dead (Ame-agari no kimi) was written by Koyama, based on the eponymous (with regard to the Japanese title) short manga (viewer discretion is advised) by Waita Uziga (who's also the movie's executive producer).

A theatrical trailer for Rain for the Dead has been added to YouTube.

BTW, Uziga appears in Tomomatsu's Rape Zombie: Lust of the Dead 2.

Above is the tentative front cover for the Japanese sale DVD release of Tomomatsu's Rape Zombie: Lust of the Dead 2. The movie is scheduled to be screened at the Theatre Shinjuku in Tokyo on March 23rd of next year.

BTW, if you haven't already done so, be sure to watch the trailer for Yasushi Koshizaka's J-sploitation movie Missing 77 (Misshingu 77).

Takazawa Co. Ltd. (K.K. Takazawa) is scheduled to release Daisuke Yamanouchi's Zombie Bride (Zonbi buraido) on rental DVD (NEED-031) in Japan on April 3rd, under its Nextacy EX (Nekusutashî EX) label. ("Nextacy" is spelled with a 'c', not an 's'. To date, all of the movies released under that label have been executive produced by Yoshinori Takazawa.) The movie stars Rei Mizuna (Miduna Rei).
