Aya Pro K.K. (K.K. Aya Puro) is scheduled to release Yamanouchi's Zombie Bride on sale DVD (LCPR-02013) in Japan on June 20th; the DVD is to be distributed by Line Communications Inc. (K.K. Distribution rights for Yamanouchi's Zombie Bride are now being offered for sale by Geta.

Here's a synopsis for Zombie Bride from Geta: "Office worker Airi Shimasawa was killed by her lover, but woke but in the morning as a zombie. Unlike a regular zombie she is conscious and she can talk. But her face looked nothing like a living human being. First, Airi heads to her lover Yoshioka's house to find him. But there, she finds Yoshioka's wife Kyoko, who had turned into a complete zombie. Incidents of dead bodies reviving as zombies where increasing all over the country. Airi, who unfortunately had become one of them, is send into depth of despair. But by meeting other senior zombies, she decides to once again, move on with her future. To take revenge on Yoshioka, and to become happy, she will go the length to eating human flesh."

The ad credits that movie's source material as Ryô Ikehata's novel Aru zonbi shôjo no sainan, its stars as Rina Aizawa and Luna Haruna (Haruna Runa), and its director as Kôsuke Hishinuma; information on its production status doesn't appear to be available online.

A theatrical trailer for Noboru Iguchi's Nuigulumar Z (Nuigurumâ Z) has been added to YouTube.

Here's a description of Nuigulumar Z from the Stockholm Film Festival: "Gothic lolita fashion enthusiast Yumeko Ayukawa, nicknamed Dameko, possesses the ability to merge with her talking pink teddy bear Buusuke to form Nuigulumar, a sexy leather-clad superheroine. Using her furry nunchucks, she must battle evil villain Takeshi, his psychic subordinate Kill Billy and a horde of 109 zombies, the highest number of the undead ever seen in a Japanese film. ¶ Based on the works (both a novel and a song) of Kenji Ohtsuki, a popular musician in the Japanese subculture known as 'otaku', 'Nuigulumar Z' revels in director Iguchi's brand of twisted B-movie hysteria. Although it may not include his usual penchant for toilet humor, homicidal sushi and robotic geishas, the film doesn't skimp on his trademark gore, this time incorporating copious special effects in a particular homage to Japanese 'tokusatsu' (special effect) films and TV series."
