Everyone has such cool icons here, guess I need to find myself a good one.

I've been a little lite of telling about the kids in the story so far. The narrators character is supposed to be a bit self-centered, so in an abbreviated version like this it just naturally follows that he doesnt talk about anyone else much. I havent talked about 667 much, or his 3 friends, or the girls, or the guy that knows how to make batteries.

Its hard to fit much real action in. The original idea was to be a REALLY low budget pilot, so I pretty much outlined the plot with ZERO special effects. But I have ripping cool fight at the end of Year 1.

In Year 2 (the sequel) theres a lot more fighting and more sex than anyone would imagine possible.
Year 3 is just way over the top. :ugeek:

good job, dont stop now.

There are Tunnels under Newcastles' Fort Scratchley (Australia) though net based information is scant Across the River at Fort Wallace there are also tunnels, I believe they are still being used for one reason or another by the military.

I'd really like to get more info on at least 3 tunnels in every state, and one or two good caves/tunnels in every country. I have this long list of everything that can go wrong in a shelter, but Im sorta grasping for places for them to happen.

I know there are a lot of caves and mines back east and in the Rockies, and road tunnelsof various sizes. Some places have pretty good size Fallout Shelters, but remeber the hard part is getting cool air to the survivors. The places need to be easily vented but cant have so many openings that they wont all be accounted for. Theres a huge underground shopping complex in Montreal, but insulating the whole thing and getting cool air all thru it would be an engineering nightmare.

Not sure if they are technically caves but these ones in a London suburb might be of some interest.

They tend to be off the normal tourist trail and are privately owned but well worth a visit.

I'm missing my 667 fix :)

I saw something on TV a while ago about stormwater storage tunnels quite deep under London, They were talking about using the same machinery as the Chunnel (That would be an interesting location for EU Survivors). What about the London Tube? would it be far enough below ground?

The White House is rumoured to have a Nuclear powered bomb shelter,

Here is some video on the Greenbriar Hotel Bunker

How about British and Russian Nuclear Subs
Not forgeting ICBM silos and other cold war treasures
http://www.missilebases.com/

Speaking of Nuclear, How would the worlds Atomic power stations fare?

I suppose any large tunnel could make a fair shelter, Sydney Harbour Tunnel is 960 metres/yards long (subnerged section) with a 900 metre land tunnel on one end, and a 400 metre (quarter Mile) one on the other end..

How about the Mont Blanc Tunnel between Italy and France, It is over 7 miles long... though only two lanes wide... Not sure if being 4000ft above sea level would make water aquisition dificult...

Sorry its so long between episodes :(
I've been a little busy with holiday family garbage and working on my Zombie Movie

I'll have one by tonite, main topic the grim deaths of them what didnt get in.

Yes, anyone with a submarine has a nice cool place to sit, so long as nothing breaks.

Missile silos make great shelters. Not very deep but easy to insulate. Maybe the military is already in them and not bragging about it, not wanting to draw too much attention to themselves?

Road tunnels are an obvious choice for a shelter, but they have inherant dependability issues. The low ones are too close to the water, and the high ones (Mt Blanc and Eisenhower) are too far from dependable cooling water sources.

I got into 667 late (Story of my life) what a great idea!!! This is really good are you thinking about expanding this into a book?

Yeah, I fiddled around for a LONG time trying to figure out how to sit down and complete this as a book. As it is Im about halfway thru the plot for Year 1 so I'm 4 months ahead of schedule. For the book I'll take what I have here and the rest of whatever I come up with, fluff out the plot a little, add some headlines and excerpts from other people in the shelter to give additional perspective, be a bit more descriptive and hope it comes out to around 188 pages.

And officially what I'd prefer to do is shoot this as a 2 hour movie. My Zombie flik is sort of a warm-up.
And unofficially, 667 was originally a warm-up for my WorldWar3 concept, which is so massive I knew it shouldnt be a first effort.
