Quiet Earth

I'm looking for the name of a PA short from the early 00's. I think I saw it on IFC. It was about a young girl who befriends a man who pretends to be a dog. SPOILER ALERT- in the end the dad kills and eats the man/dog saying 'It was only a dog'.
Any ideas?

Wow, I would love to have seen that video. The ending sounds epic!

This is probably not it... unless your memory is slightly off but I offer it up as its worth a watch if you can find it on DVD and no one else seems to know what it is


A Boy and His Dog


It does involve a dog and (spoiler) someone getting eaten - Although we don't see that, its more a dark comedy if memory serves.
