Trev,

I read The Stand many, many moons ago. I don't remember that much. I'm going to have to read it again sometime.

coming in a bit late on this, but I've seen the original Survivor series, but ages ago. Absolutely brilliant stuff. Very realistic as I remember it.

Yep I saw the Survivors in the early eighties ... pretty sure it was on after Dallas in my area....I was around 11 or 12. between that and Day of the Triffids, I was sold on PA..
It is only lately that I have really started searching the net for movies and books I have not seen....

Speaking of which there are two paperbacks I read years ago... 82 ish...." A wrinkle in the skin" and " The Fifth Horseman" (I think)
They were both set in Britain (poms do some seriously good Sci Fi ) and both used earthquakes (big big ones) as thier disaster of choice...
Also a book I read in Primary School in the mid 70s "F67" which was about 2 kids that were evacuated from England after a plastic eating virus/bug/ thingy was found to produce copiuos amounts of toxic gas... the story was more about the kids life in (and running away from) a refugee camp in south Africa..

Anybody else remember these?

no, but if you like old school PA authors like Triffids, check out "The Kraken Wakes" also by Wyndam, brilliant read.

Read it years ago. thanks.. also the Chrysalids.... and a collection of his short storys. (seeds of time I think).. Has anyone seen the 1971 movie "Quest for love" developed from a John Wyndham short.... it starred Joan Collins and was about travelling between alternate realities.. the movie centred more on the relainship side of things but wasnt too bad.

whilst I am incredibly excited by this, almost to the point of being speechless actually.... lucky then that I am in command of a keyboard....

Unless this game includes a nuclear explosion leading to the end of the world, or villagers all die and rise up as Zombies, why post it here....?

I am thinking we will not get any Zombielicious action in your game, as you still need gold in it... where the great thing about PA is no need for money....

Come back and tell us all about your little games , when the only sound effects are Moans, groans and the sound of Zombie mouths gnawing on Human bones (and the attendant screams .... of course)

Only when I can pluck your game from the shelf of a (mostly ) deserted store, and play it with the sound right up to silence the moans and make me forget the bitter lonelyness, will I be interested in using it to save my sanity. for a little while ..... at least

I have a filmmaker friend out in Oz who did a somewhat short PA film called Lost: Black Earth a few years back, he'll be directing a new film starting sometime this year (but not PA). Btw, Survivors is getting a remake, the BBC already bought the rights from the Terry Nation estate! I've seen the first 2 seasons of the orig, your right, it's awesome.

how come you've only seen the first two seasons? is it a matter of finding the third one?
