Day of the Triffids (the new one) hasnt been on Australian Television yet, However I found a 2 disc edition at my local K mart for $20

Also found a copy of "The Stand" for $9, I have been searching for this for years.

I noticed a few other QE staples such as Dawn of the Dead (the remake) there as well, Hope this helps some Aussie Sci Fi lovers.

The New Day of the Triffids is already in DVD downunder? Christ have I been asleep? It hasn’t reared it ugly head here (USofA) yet. Have I missed it or has the BBC just given up on showing it here. Anybody know? Anybody give a rats a%$?

Hasnt been on TV here yet, we have seen the first season of Survivors though.

Mate, don't waste you time on this one.. I watched the show, then the making of... the director claimed to be a "huge fan" of the story... So why the hell did he have to change it?

was it sooo important that he put "his mark" on a classic story?

Watch the 1981 version instead, it stays true to the book, the current version may have more flash, but they have ruined the story.

I saw "Tommorow when the war began" last week, The film does seem a bit more like Red Dawn than the book did, still a pretty good watch, has been doing very well in OZ, so it may get an international release...

Logans Run on "Go" at 11 PM tonight (Saturday) in Australia... havnt seen this for years, will be watching.

Bit of a pity to miss Starship troopers on 7 at 11.45, but I've seen it a few times :)

I don't think I have actually watched Logans run since it came out.... when I was 8... Cant really say it has aged well.

Never realised Jenny Agutter played Jessica.. I liked her and Michael York in "Riddle of the Sands"..
Also didnt realise that she was the girl in the Australian film "Walkabout"..
